 | Maxima provides integrated, value-add “systems” comprising instrumentation, controls, sending units and accessories.
|
DEFINITION OF MAXIMA "SYSTEM" Maxima "systems" comprise instrumentation, controls, sending units and accessories that provide a value-added, turnkey solution. The system is developed in cooperation with OEM customers, according to a specific application. We can supply the system either directly to the OEM or to the OEM affiliate serving as the Tier 1 supplier (e.g. a cab builder).
Instrumentation can also be configured to provide a system solution combining data acquisition, machine control and the operator interface all in one package. (Click here to learn more.)
ONE-STOP-SHOPPING Maxima’s experience working with OEMs to develop systems has resulted in our unique ability to ensure that all components are working in concert with each other, and that everyting is properly “tuned” for the vehicle or machine in question. This capability affords one-stop-shopping for OEM customers who prefer this kind of arrangement. GETTING STARTED Here’s what we need to know:
- Details regarding application: What kind of vehicle/machine is it? What kind of engine is being used? Type of senders/sensors (if it’s not a Tier 3/Stage IV engine)?
- Current set-up: What works well, what doesn’t work as well as desired with the current system?
- Functionality desired: What are the critical operating parameters to be monitored?
- Goals for the operator interface: What is the best way to present information to the end-user?
- Operating environment: What is it e.h. temperature and humidity requirements, shock and vibration, electrical noise levels, etc.)
SYSTEMS INTEGRATION Interested in combining data acquisition, machine control and the operator interface all in one package? The benefits are real: Lower vehicle cost, better reliability and lower investment. Case in point: We integrated the transmission controller used by a major tractor OEM into our cluster-display, thus allowing our customer to eliminate a costly part.
The mechanics of integrating the transmission controller is illustrated by the simple block diagram below:

This approach enables the integration of literally ANY type of I/O function in a cost-effective way, facilitated by our "library" of software modules that speed up and improve implementation.
