Maxima Launches Cluster Program with Chinese CE OEM Lingong

TAICANG, CHINA.—January, 2010.  Maxima Technologies China (MTC) launched an instrument cluster program with Lingong, a leading Chinese construction equipment (CE) OEM who develop and produce wheel loaders, excavators, loader-backhoes and road rollers, at the end of 2009.  (In 2007, Volvo Construction Equipment made a 70% equity investment in Lingong.)

The cluster will be used on an excavator.  It is based on a design created by Maxima's engineering team in Europe, thus emphasizing the value of the company's global footprint. 

MTC added another applications engineer to support Maxima's growing business in China, Byron Zhu, and has installed an engineering lab with testing capabilities to its facility in Taicang, in order to support Lingong and other customers.

Additionally, Lingong will be using this same cluster on a second machine scheduled to start up in the spring of 2010.
