New Cluster Programs with Leading Chinese CE OEMs
Taicang, China—May, 2009. Maxima Technologies & Systems, LLC (Maxima) announced that it secured new instrument cluster programs with three leading Chinese construction equipment (CE) OEMs: Cheng Gong, Lin Gong (a Volvo company) and Sany. The new clusters will be produced in Maxima's parent compant Actuant Corporation's facility, home to the newly created Maxima Technologies China (MTC).
MTC was launched in January, 2009. This location is producing gauges for Chinese OEMs, and will also produce products for XCMG and Caterpillar beginning in 2009.
Two clusters were derived from exisiting products, with modifications. Another cluster is being developed and tooled by Maxima as a standard platform for Chinese construction and AG equipment, as well as other OEMs outside China, in support of OEMs seeking to minimize non-recurring expenses (NRE) for development, while speeding up time-to-market. In this way, Maxima can offer OEMs ready-made, cost-effective instrumentation solutions that are in synch with a dynamic marketplace.
