New Stewart Warner Gauge Kit for Subaru Impreza

LANCASTER, PA.—January, 2009.  Maxima Technologies & Systems, LLC (Maxima) launched a new Stewart Warner gauge kit for the 2009 Impreza WRX.  Developed exclusively for Subaru of America (SOA), the "kit" comprises a full-sweep boost gauge contained in a specially designed mounting cup with hardware, configured for dealer and port installations.

The kit will be part of an upgrade package marketed by SOA for Impreza customers.  It marks the first collaboration between SOA and Maxima.  Gauges are labeled "SPT", for Subaru Performance Team, and "Stewart Warner" in recognition of each brand's equity in the product.

Of particular note, the new gauge features a lighting scheme that matches the OEM instrument cluster: dial backlighting is red, and the pointer is lit as well.  The gauge provides 270° pointer sweep for maximum resolution.  Gauges are derived from the Stewart Warner "Maximum Performance Series" platform, known for its "face-forward" design offering maximum dial viewing area and a clean, automotive look.

Kits will be sold through SOA dealers in 2009.
